Thanks Cathy, no problem!
hi! *waves*
That is in no way related to this post, but I felt the need to wave at you.
x
Going to have a look now.
Caroline - thanks honey! *waves and smiles*
Debs - thanks for looking and commenting!
I've just read it -- thank you so much. It's such an interesting and intelligent response to the book -- which is the most any writer can hope for. I love the way you draw parallels between the in and outs of the plot, and of the Menabilly itself. Because you're right -- the house (Rebecca's house) is a reflection of the structure of the novel, as well as du Maurier's internal landscape and emotional terrain.
Sorry -- just re-read my comment, which is full of typing errors! But hope you understand what I was trying to say...
Crikey! Have to follow Justine Picardie....um, well done on the review - am popping over to check it out now :)
Justine - thanks, I'm glad you like the review. I really enjoyed writing it, and also reading 'Daphne'. I look forward to reading more of your writing soon.
Kerry - thanks, it's a really great book, so the review was easy!
Great review Helen. This one is definitely on my 'must buy' list.
(And a comment from the author! How cool is that!)
Lane - I know! I'm so thrilled that Justine took the time to do that x
Great review - must move book to top of TBR pile!
Helen - you write a brilliant review of 'Daphne'. I shall pop over the library at lunchtime. I really want to read this - it sounds like just my type of book.
The plot is clever and original by the sound of it.
Karen and Annie - yes, you must read it and let me know what you think. It's fabulous.
