... Report
Yesterday:
I finally sent off my non-fiction pitch on bereavement!
and edited and subbed a short story to a magazine.
Both of these by email, so I don't have to worry about silly postal strike!
I started my entry for the Mail on Sunday Novel Competition. This does need to go out sharpish as soon as silly postal strike is over.
So, today - I need to finish the MOS entry, and write and edit a story that I want to send to My Weekly. Hmm, we'll see!

Sounds like you're really in the ball Helen. Good luck with the subs:-)

Good luck with your Daily Mail entry Helen. I started to think about it this weekend and realised that, by a strange co-incidence, the opening 142 words of my YA novel (unfinished) fitted the comp. All I had to do was change the word 'mess' to 'tip' and I was done! Haven't sent it off yet though (damned postal strike!)
Thanks Lane - could do with some good news!
Cally - Yes, the postal strike is going to be a bit of a spanner in the works for this one! I'm thinking the best thing is just to send it when it's ready ie hopefully tomorrow, and then hope it's collected and postmarked as soon as the strike is over. Hopefully, there'll be a bit of leeway the other end as so many people must be having problems! Apart from organised people who haven't left it to the last minute that is!
good to meet you via Lane's blog - sounds like you're making good progress!
Thanks Flowerpot. Nice to meet you too!
