Total number of books …
I have absolutely no idea. All I know is that I’ve long since run out of shelf space. I now have teetering piles of books all over the living room floor. But I don’t care because I think people who have tidy houses with no books are 'a bit odd'.

I’m in the middle of ‘Into The Blue’ by Robert Goddard. So far, so gripping. He was recommended to me about two years ago and I read one of his other books, which I didn’t really enjoy. However, I found this one at a book sale for 50p – so I had to buy it – along with about six others – because you do don’t you?

This one started my lifelong obsession with Agatha Christie. It’s still my favourite for the far-fetched premise and clever solution.
The Chamber by John Grisham
It illustrates perfectly why we can’t live in a world where capital punishment is acceptable. I’m guessing George Bush has never read it. (and, as I’ve just realised, ‘10 Rillington Place’ is all about the other reason why capital punishment isn’t a good idea. So Mr Bush should probably read that too!)

That's agreed then - we all need more book memes! 'Gone With The Wind' - it's just one of those books I could read from cover to cover and then start again and again. But I'm not going to let myself!!! And I want my own Tara!
I've got one more Robert Goddard in the bargain book pile, Lane, so I'll let you know if it's any good or not!
Interesting choices, Helen. I'm afraid GWTW leaves me cold (ducks down behind parapet). But I've only ever seen the film. Maybe the book is better (they usually are).

Womagwriter - don't worry, you're not losing the plot! Someone else tagged me with this and I didn't realise it was the same one as there are a couple going round. However - I am thrilled to get a chance to do it again - because it means I can choose more books. yey!
